Willow Pattern
In this unit, pupils build on, and apply, their knowledge of the pentatonic scale in Chinese music. They use the pentatonic scale and a range of other devices from traditional Chinese music to make up simple songs, melodies and accompaniments for their own Children work together to plan and put on a music theatre performance influenced by ideas and traditions of Chinese story and Opera.
