Kuzari
The unit supports workshops in Hausa music, dance and storytelling by Zozo Shuaibu and Sam Maitland. It explores aspects of Hausa storytelling and music, and provides a range of preparatory musical activities, along with a background to Hausa culture.
The story The Magic Ring provides a stimulus for integrated work in which song, storytelling and dance may be combined in re-telling the story. Although principally aimed at KS2 pupils, elements of the website may easily be adapted for work with KS3 pupils.
