Carnaval Geography Unit

Introduction / Background
A 6 week unit of work in which children investigate where the animals in ‘Carnival of the Animals’ can be found in the wild; find out about different environments and consider how those environments can be managed sustainably. The unit has a strong emphasis on speaking and listening and encourages some thought-provoking discussion.

Cross-Curricular links
This unit of work links with Science Unit 4b (Habitats), links can also be made to ICT work on databases. There are many opportunities for embedding ICT into this unit.
