Musical Animals 2

Musical Animals 2

This unit is the second in a series developing children's abilities to recognise and perform a range of simple rhythmic 'building blocks'. In this unit, rhythms are represented by simple notation.

Children are introduced to the use of notation to record their own simple rhythmic sequences, and to perform those created by others.

Like Musical Animals 1, this unit is also linked to QCA Unit 10: Play it again. It revisits the performance and sequencing of simple rhythmic building blocks, this time using rhythmic notation as a support.
